still don’t think its scarier than that note he left about how zombies are made. it was a little side note, can’t remember if it was in the alt text or comments. something like, ‘so yeah regular zombies are made by destroying someones afterlife forever’ you can live your whole life with no contact with necromancers and maybe even have a thousand years of an afterlife and then all of a sudden you are ripped from the great beyond to have your soul lobotomized. and there is no cure, no hope, no release.
I’m scared of a bunch of shit in Suppression’s universe but that’s neither here nor there or in the comic or planned on being in the comic in the future (but was definitely developed as a thing at some point). But I have Tumblr to talk about that stuff… Like economic recession, killer kids, well-intentioned extremists, gassing buildings, funeral pyres, mass graves and the possibility of political uprising.
Suppression’s universe in my imagination is super crazy dark and no one can deny that I want the majority of the characters to still be unhappy with their lives by the end. It wasn’t like they were doing poorly before things went to hell (but they were still stuck with their miserable lives with their miserable feelings). It’s not like they’ll suddenly get better. People you cared about still died. You can’t turn back time to relive your life the way you wanted. You can’t remove the experiences you lived through and just be 100% blissful and joyful. Your miserable state is your new happiness norm. It’s enough to say you’re content with your life even if you’re not satisfied with how things turned out. Just quietly smile and look at the world knowing there’s at least “better”.
HAH! he brought back the crystals on his jacket! I always thought those looked cool, shame the thing was made to restrain him from the get-go.
And it looks like he finished the job for the most part- Just three left to go-the blade, the frost, the king.
yep,
you’ve done it,
scariest page yet,
worse than Kolt’s introduction,
worse than flashback Grenner,
worse than a giant, masked zombie speaking through its newly created thrall as all the lights go out.
I’m not gonna sleep for a month.
also, kudos for turning a protagonist into the scariest thing ever, I don’t get to see much of that.
