573: Epilogue Journal Entry#4: Arrie
Yeah, I’m going with an “and the adventure continues” ending. Arrie leaves to learn the truth about what became of the villains and leaves an open invitation for others to join her quest. I’ve only established what some of the characters go on to do in this ending, but that is for a reason. What they are doing at the end of this timeline draws parallels to what they will be doing in the new one. I’ll leave it to you all to speculate what I mean by that.
Ending commentary is up for all to see. It gets a little heavy…
Let me know in the comments if there’s any interest in seeing WIP stuff for the reboot on social media or streams of me working or something. I’d like to have something to show in between but I’ve gotta know what form people want that to take.
I’m a late to the party, but things happen, and we often have little control over it. My grandfather unexpectedly died and Comicon happened within a week of each other when I was working on hiatus material immediately comes to mind. It’s sudden. Health is another.
Sleep apnea is a troublesome condition because your body consumes quite a bit of oxygen when you sleep. Blood to muscles increases and the body undergoes regenerative and building processes, which contributes to the restful feeling. Sleep apnea pretty much disrupts that cycle and not in a very fun way.
I know we talk on a regular basis but get better, dude. I know what it’s like to have crazy conditions and to be sick and ill all the time. Take care of yourself. I know that sleep apnea is treated almost like snoring is (mainly since snoring is usually a sign you have sleep apnea) so you can do some research on it in the meantime on some ways people deal with snoring if that would help.
On the topic of the reboot, that’s mostly on you. That sort of thing is dependent on what you feel comfortable showing. This transition isn’t easy but take it as it comes.
And a PSA for everyone who is still here reading this: don’t forget to give feedback. Makers can’t know what you’re thinking but especially Free Content Makers cannot ask for it without people feeling like they’re overbearing on both sides. They want to know what you think, even if it’s on small things that bother you. Positive feedback means that their choices are something that works. Negative feedback will cause reexamination of the presentation of the material and growth will happen… But none of that occurs when you stay silent.
I have a cursory knowledge of Marketing due to studying it in college and I can tell you this situation is a nightmare for people to deal with and we have no tools to deal with it at all. We don’t know how to get people to take action and start a conversation with a Maker especially if they make content that you don’t pay for. Consumers feel no right to give anything, even words, if they don’t invest anything in to it and Makers are pigeonholed in to thinking they can never ask for the words that help them further their craft because no one wants to give it to them.
So, even if it doesn’t seem to add to the conversation, mention it anyway and fill up the comment section in the future.
Last thing: during the transition in to the reboot, you’re all free to interact with me on Suppression related things. I’m on Tumblr giving words on stuff (including older Suppression things) and you’re able to ask me about anything related to whatever.
If people haven’t noticed this link in my comments (my name links to this as sort of an easter egg), I also have an Ask.fm for Solstice. It’s mostly something fun I kept on the side and answer questions in-character. Most of the answers are made up but I try to stick close to canon. I do occasionally make up fluff details though. I also have a Twitter for her I don’t maintain very well but I did post things related to the plot on it when I felt like it. I’ll open it up for people to follow as I might pick it up again. If I’m ever permitted to post minor plot details, I’ll totally do it, otherwise, just consider it fandom fluff.

That’s about it for me. I’ll see you when I see you all.
What’ll happen to the first comic when the second comes out?
Well, I don’t yet know what I can and can’t do with how things are set up in the back end of the site, so I’m not sure what this is going to end up looking like when all is said and done… or how much work getting to that point will be…
BUT the old comic isn’t going anywhere and will still be hosted here. What I want is, at least in the most basic sense, is for the “first” button to take you to the first page of the new comic, and for there to be another button somewhere to read the old comic.
GAH! It really sucks missing out on over a year of this but i cannot wait to see more. Best of luck y’all please come back soon.
HHHH I JUST READ THROUGH THE END
OH *MAN*. I’m glad certain characters ended up happy (especially Azgrut), but others I’m still wondering what happened to them… overall though, I’m WAY looking forward to the reboot, and ill definitely be bringing some friends with me!
