They may be of the same blood but possibly different branches. Sigvaldi is still an Adigard and Law and his family changed their name to Wight. They could be a mix of both, depending on whose side they identify with.
with Arthur and Maxwell, and Alastar and Merry it looks like the family has a policy of the family head and family necromancer being different people. the family head seem to use a form a magic that allows them to overwhelm in close combat. Maxwell seems to not accept that Alastar plans for Merry to be the next family head. Law and Sigvaldi seem to have a similar dynamic
It makes sense to some degree.
Necromancy is clearly a academic form of magic, built around how certain bits of magic work, something that’d require a serious amount of study.
Study that would preclude learning things such as military strategy and tactics, politics, and whatnot, all very important things to a king, and at the same time, raising people and training aprentices (I seriously doubt the whole of the old wight empire was controlled by one necromancer) takes up alot of time, as does dealing with the nobles, holding courts, leading armies and diplomacy with neighboring nations.
Blood (Girl on law’s shoulder, seems vampirish)
Steel (Big armored guy)
Flesh (Robed guy, the blood implies something involving the work with corpses, possibly sigvaldi’s replacment)
Bone (Bottom right guy, he looks really skin and bones, much less ornate than the rest, potentially a family servant? Someone of a younger generation being groomed to be the heir?
Creeping Frost (Sigvaldi, we’ve seen his affinity for frost magic)
Looming Throne (Law, big and looming, king of the wights)
There’s more of them then the two we’ve seen. Uh-oh.
hmm 3 with armor 3 with out. so would that mean 3 family heads and 3 family necromancers?

Will we be seeing the rest of the old wights back?

In short, both jobs are a full-time occupation.
