looking at how close the robot is this raises a question, can anyone in the group sence magic? I remember them saying they felt a disturbance and found the town, but that this is right under them. I don’t think Santris Industries can hide the magic being used by their machines.
I think this might be one of my favorite things about writing this story as a web comic. I can instantly address things that might never have come up otherwise. I hadn’t thought about it beforehand, but instantly had an answer.
As previously said by Maxwell, the asylum operates off the power grid… Given that they use mana as fuel for their machines, the entire place is powered by mana.
Given that they are in a factory, sensing one magical machine isn’t going to seem any more odd than any other. Until it turns out to be a scorpion-thing.
