Oh, that little Mona is so cute! Congrats on the drawing tablet- I got my first one in 2007 and never looked back, hehe. For good 2D art programs starting out, I would definitely advise FireAlpaca- it’s lightweight, free, and simple, but with the tools to get deeper into it if you so choose. Overall, I’m looking forward to what you come up with next, and I hope things go smoothly for you in the future!
I’m doing all right. Not sure what my next move as an artist is, but I’m fine.
I keep waffling on whether to adapt my DnD campaign into a story or if I should salvage Suppression. The one allows for change and freedom while the other has the advantage of years of established work to pull from.
And so instead of working on either I just keep weighing my options infinitely. Though technically I am working on the DnD stuff by the very nature of running a session every week.
So… I dunno. I’m not modeling, I’m not drawing, I’m not even writing scripts. I’m sure I’ve said before but I’m trying not to beat myself up over my own hobbies, but my indecision and inaction on the art front gets me mopey.
At the very least I need to to set up some evidence I exist to keep the lights on. Top of my head I guess I could get a twitter account, but as evidenced by all this coming off a “happy Halloween” I can be a bit of a longwinded person so that’s never been an appealing platform to me.
Honestly, I’d stick around to see whatever, though Suppression’s obviously what I’ve invested the most time into. Anything goes!! And yeah, definitely don’t beat yourself up over it. Things are rough for everyone right now.
I absolutely agree with the sentiments about twitter as well. I don’t know what worldbuilder worth their salt can stand to use it. What good is posting a pic if I can’t give a 500 word explanation of it?
