Update: I had a whole other news post page typed up, but after a single day of experimentation with Blender it’s already outdated. I had run into some issues that I couldn’t figure out at the time, but have since figured them out. I’ve also learned that blender has preserved my texture work, I just have to re-add the file paths in the editor. So that’s one less thing I need to worry about. My lighting has been preserved, but blender uses much larger numbers than Max and didn’t get an automatic conversion, so that’s going to need done manually. The big thing is still bones which I have done some early tests with. I’m also gonna need to mess around with modeling, since I’m going to need more characters and assets for coming pages. But things are looking good at the moment.
