I was going to say ‘or it actually could be a black eye, he did get smooshed by a boulder and the concrete probably didn’t do any wonders for his face’, but I referenced Bael’s plague marks and, oh hey, guess that is them.
One of the things that I find so amazing about this comic is that it never seems to get too bleak and dark, if only because the characters show a remarkable tenacity to spout witticisms in the face of their situation.
Also, is it just me, or are Bael’s eyes a midpoint between red and brown here? The lighting makes it hard to tell, but I don’t think they’re entirely brown anymore.
Degulus? When we get enough information, I may possibly start writing fanfiction. No promises but it seems to happen to just about everything.
For the record, it’s both a plague mark, and a black eye. Pretty much to justify why their sudden appearance passes without comment.
I’ll also say that his eyes haven’t changed color yet.
And lastly I’ll say that a fan fiction is an inevitability of fandom. I consider it a milestone and would be honored to reach the point where people are invested enough in the story to write about it. I’d be interested to see what you come up with.
